Gieffe Sistemi is a flexible and diversified company

The company is highly specialized in mechanical, electromechanical, electronic and optical manufacturing,
providing single or assembled components, tested
in accordance with the technical specifications of the customer.


Founded in 2000 by Antonio Filipponi, coming from many years of managerial experience in mechanics, the company began to work to manufacturing and assemblies for leading customers in the aerospace, shipbuilding, gas, energy, rail and military sectors.

Over the years, Gieffe Sistemi constantly evolved, expanded and acquired certifications in quality, environmental and non-destructive testing sectors. This path lead the company to transform itself from a reality with a purely mechanical vocation to one with management purposes, able not just to manufacture mechanical components but also to buy raw units of all kinds, perform heat and galvanizing treatments and painting, and to complete the cycle with testings, functional testings and assemblies, all equipped with full certification dossier.


Today Gieffe Sistemi has a modern management system with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), an efficient technical department that analyses and processes the customer's documentation to make it accessible to the operating system of purchases, a quality system with traceability barcode that crosses the production process and an expediting department that continuously monitors the progress of the orders.
Due to the introduction of new professional figures and a 3D CAD Creo Parametric software, a new design center became operational, which can assist the customer in the technological choice of the production process, creating prototypes in short time and identifying the industrialization solutions for possible series production.


From several years, a clean room for the integration of optical units in mechanical components, in accordance with ISO 14664.1 std is in operation.
In 2015 the company also renewed the workshop machine inventory (fully air conditioned area) with the purchase of last generation DMG MORI5-axis machining centers, CNC lathes with driven tools and introduced three CAM stations with related technical personnel.

Gieffe Sistemi is equipped with powerful and innovative computerised tools that are managed by a constantly updated qualified team.

The specific configuration of stable and robust manufacturing processes, managed by computerised procedures and cycles straightly connected to last generation machines, allows to acquire and manage complex orders and to get them processed.

The simple and smart internal operating structure combined with a wide and varied external production capacity, give to Gieffe Sistemi an extreme flexibility, which is useful to absorb the production peaks without causing repercussions on the lead time agreed with the customer.



The supplier base for each production process described below is subject to periodic audit visits in order to maintain the quality standards required; the audits are often planned and managed together with the end customer.
The ability to manage all these skills and professionals allows Gieffe Sistemi to play the role of prime contractor and to offer to the end customer a finished product and a complete service.
CASTINGS
The experience gained from casting processes has allowed Gieffe Sistemi to tie strong relationships with aluminum, bronze, cast iron and steel foundries.
Thanks to this exchange it is possible to define, since the creation of the model, the clamping points, the starting work points and the correct machining allowances.
If the customer requires it, Gieffe Sistemi is willing to follow the status of the first piece and then look after the purchases.



STAMPINGS
For the purchasing of forged or stamped raws, Gieffe Sistemi employs companies that are able to meet the quality requirements of the regulations that accompany the technical documentation of the customers. The start of the production process is always subsequent to the approval of the customer.
SHEET METAL, LASER CUTTING AND FOLDING
Gieffe Sistemi is constantly collaborating with sheet metal providers owing plan or 3D laser technology, press brakes and Tig or Mig welding carried out by operators with ASME and UNI STD. Also, it develops and supports the study and qualification phases of the process by issuing a manufacturing and control plan (MPP) approved by the customer.
DIE SINKING EDM (EDM) AND / OR WIRE CUT EDM (WEDM)
For the completing of particular details or to give timing guarantees between profiles that cannot be obtained with the same machining placing, Gieffe Sistemi has included among its suppliers some companies based in the Florence area equipped with EDM and WEDM technology. The crossing time of these external processes is constantly monitored by the expediter team.
HEAT TREATMENTS
In addition to traditional normalization, hardening, quenching and gas nitriding treatments, a common and frequent issue is to avoid mechanical manufacturing and significant deformations processes after the treatment.
 Therefore, Gieffe Sistemi has established business relationships with industry partners that can perform ion nitriding, laser hardening, vacuum carburizing and cryogenic treatment, all accompanied by the appropriate certification.
GALVANIC TREATMENTS
An area full of dangers, which can ruin everything previously done. To avoid this from happening, Gieffe Sistemi has an established supplier base that is certified by major clients operating in fields with strict requirements, such as shipbuilding, petrochemical and space sectors. Important attention is also required in the use of environmentally friendly cycles and products.
PAINTING
Gieffe Sistemi has long established business relationships with a number of industrial paintings located a few kilometers from its seat. Liquid or powder painting systems that meet strict cleanliness, adherence, thickness and gloss requirements are produced and controlled using modern equipment and then appropriately certified. It is also possible to prepare the surface with sand blasting or shot blasting metal cycles.
